Write these two lists to test your Estate Agency marketing…
A few years ago we did our annual review for all things ‘marketing’. At the same time, we were also putting together a strategy for launching a new branch. We wrote two lists…
List 1
The first list was for all the marketing efforts we would need to do to
launch a new branch
. We didn’t have a bottomless pit of money, and we would need to get results straight from the get go!
List 2
The second list was for all the marketing efforts we undertake in our current branches. This was all of the classic stuff. Half of which we hoped worked, we just weren’t sure which half!
The key learning came as a bit of a surprise to me. The two lists could not have been more different!
It really shone a light on some of the comfort blankets we have persevered with for years and that we tell ourselves stories about how they ‘promote our brand’ without any real evidence of an ROI.
A few years later, suffice to say, if we were to draw up those two lists again today, they would both be identical.
