How to set up e-commerce for vendor paid advertising

byThe Agent Response Team The Agent Response Team

With hundreds of e-commerce solutions available in 2021, gone are the days of sending invoices and waiting for the money to appear when charging your vendors for upfront advertising costs.

Shopify is one of the largest e-commerce platforms in the UK and is simple to use- perfect for Estate Agents who don’t have an entire marketing department. Shopify accepts all major payment methods and is a highly trusted platform within the UK.

In Shopify, you can list as many products or packages as you like. So whether you only offer photography or an entire bundle to include 3D Tours and EPC’s; the products can be created exactly how you like them.

Once you have created your products, you can add variants to include your offices so the vendor can select the correct one. This helps with organising the orders; ensuring that the order confirmation email is sent to the correct office, and to help your finance department.

Once the site is set up, you can send across the direct link to your vendor to select their desired marketing package and enter their card details. Once complete, the marketing of their property can begin.

Shopify has its own analytics dashboard so you can see how many sessions has taken place on your website within a certain period, total income received from sales, and a breakdown of which products have been ordered. This is a useful tool when putting together your figures at the end of the month, as your figures for vendor paid advertising will already be completed.
